Since UMD games are region free, i've picked up a copy of the US limited edition. I probably shouldn't have done what with the intense backlog, but watching Fate Stay Night has made me want to experience the universe in game form. I expect it will arrive Monday since where it shipped from isn't massively far from where I live.

Anyone else thinking of getting an import or are you waiting for a Europe release announcement? I read the reviews and it seems to borrow heavily from the Persona series, pretty good source to imitate a game like this from really.

I've looked at it and want it so will probably buy at some point but with so much stuff coming out and with Christmas coming up it's time to watch my spending, lol.
What's actually in the limited edition?

Well, everything from the Japanese limited edition apart from the Saber Extra Figma.

I really want to play this but I'm hoping a EU release will happen, but otherwise I'll probably import (not that I can afford it right now anyway... ^^; ).

I think Ghostlight should bring it to the EU, I did mention it to Ross but who knows.Ghostlight have been great with their releases, definitely one of my favourite publishers.

It did arrive today, first impressions. I f**king love it. I have to say the battle system is pretty good, you have to plan your actions and what order and since it's 6 actions at a time it really feels like a flowing intense battle like in the anime. That and it relies on information gathering in order to get the advantage over the main opponents. It really pulled me in and was sad when I had to stop to recharge the battery.

I've had the game for about a week or so now, since i found out a store here had imported some of the limited edition copies, and i just couldn't keep my hands of it and I've been playing it a lot since then and I'm currently on the 6th round of the tournament.

And I have to agree, it's so damn good! Though it can get a bit difficult late in the story, which is somewhat annoying.

Definitely looking forward to Fate/Extra CCC now, so hopefully the game sold well enough for Aksys to bring the CCC to the US too (so that i can import it).

And after playing this, I really hope they'll make a Fate/Extra anime, because i want a Nero anime. :D That little cameo appearance she had at the end of Carnival Phantasm ep 8 was awesome, but not enough. :p

Well I got it for Christmas and I think it's great. It kinda feels a bit Persona-esque but not if you get what I mean.
Great news that Ghostlight are bringing to the EU.

I agree that it's kinda got some kind of persona-feel to it. And it's truly great that Ghostlight is publishing it, but i kinda feel bad for buying an import of it now (kinda thought that it'd never be released here, or that it'd end up digital only, like Fate/Unlimited Codes, if it ever was).

Hopefully it'll sell well enough for them to bring F/E CCC to europe too, as the first game is really great.

When they announced it I felt bad too because I didn't think it would get a release in the EU, however if they do some fantastic collector's edition that's better than the one I've got I would buy again.

I feel like doing that too, but I'm currently without a job, so unless I'm able to get myself a job before it's released, i probably won't be able to buy it. But then again, Ghostlight's LE's usually are available for quite a while, so i should be able to find a job and buy it. :P

By the way has anyone else here seen Carnival Phantasm? (A cross-over anime between type-moon's works like Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime and Melty Blood). I myself find it to be really funny, and Fate/Extra's Sabers appearance in it was awesome, but sadly very short. :) Definitely recommend it for type-moon fans.

I have yet to get this game, but hearing all the good things about it, and being a hardcore FSN fan, I gotta do so now.

And I'd also like to recommend getting the original FSN game - the Visual Novel. It's soooo much better than the anime. The anime is actually based on the first scenario (the "Fate" scenario) of the Visual Novel. And believe it or not, that's the least interesting scenario by far. The other two (especially the last one if you ask me) are so incredibly much better. =D

There is an english translation patch for it too.

...be warned though. Unless you get the PS2 version which doesn't have a translation, the age rating is 18+... for various reasons.

Also, I would recommend watching the Fate/Zero anime. It's really good.

You guys have probably seen this already but Ghostlight have announced their LE plans for Fate/Extra.

The limited edition comes with a soundtrack CD and 16 page artbook. Order directly from Ghostlight and you'll get the Fate/The Facts booklet and an A1 poster.

Damn Ghostlight, you and your limited editions are so sweet.

It's exactly like the U.S. one except the Fate/TheFacts and poster which is only if you order directly from them.

Still very nice though.

Since I own only a PS Vita, I got the download and it is very nice. Also, planning on purchasing the LE so I can have it on my collector's shelf! I'd rather shoot for the Japanese version with all the goodies but $200 is a bit steep right now! ^-^
