The song is cool, the singer face reminds me a lot Dido, I don't know why

    Another lyrics
Artist : Olivia Lufkin (for me one of the best singer in the world)
Title : Tell me (Because of part of the song remind me my boyfriend)

Keep me happy, out of line
    Keep me sweet and satisfied
    Come with me darling
    Don't say no
How bout we just take it slow

    Sexy baby you sure know
How to make my eyes glow
    Come with me sugar
    Do not fret
I have to tell you a secret

    Staring into the sky
The nature hums music of you

Tell me, what do you feel?
Cause I know I'm feeling something

    Emerging magical sores in me
Tell me, what do you feel?
Maybe this is just a moment
    But we're penetrating time

Your waves are crashing into me
    Exciting me and hurting me
    I'm feeling sick
Oh what am I to do?
I think your sweet kiss will do

    Take me over completely
I'll give you whatever you need

Tell me, what do you feel?
Cause I know I'm feeling something
    My senses are super sensitive

Tell me, what do you feel?
What I would do to be your girl
    I'm aching without you

Another song of hers that is really good is "They Werent There"

You breathed infinity into my world
And time was lost up in a cloud and in a whirl.
We dug a hole in the cool grey earth and lay there for the night.
Then you said, "wait for me we'll fly the wind,
We'll grow old and you'll be stronger without him" but oh,
Now my world is at your feet. I was lost and I was found,
But I was alive and now I've drowned.
So now I will be waiting for the world to hear my song
So they can tell me I was wrong...

But they weren't there beneath your stare,
And they weren't stripped 'till they were bare of
Any bindings from the world outside that room.
And they weren't taken by the hand
And led through fields of naked land
Where any pre-conceived ideas were blown away...
    So I couldn't say "no".

You sighed and I was lost in you, weeks could've past for all I knew.
You were there blanket of the over-world and so I couldn't say,
I wouldn't say "no". But they all said, "you're too young to even know,
Just don't let it grow and you'll be stronger without him"
But oh, now, my world is at your feet. I was lost and I was found,
But I was alive and now I've drowned.
So now I will be waiting for the world to hear my song
So they can tell me I was wrong...

But they weren't there beneath your stare,
And they weren't stripped 'till they were bare
Of any bindings from the world outside that room.
And they weren't taken by the hand and led through fields
Of naked land where any pre-conceived ideas were blown away...

But they weren't there beneath your stare,
And they weren't stripped 'till they were bare
Of any bindings from the world outside that room.
And they weren't taken by the hand and led through fields
Of naked land where any pre-conceived ideas were blown away...
    So I couldn't say "no".

    I'm hurting you again
    Too lonely to pretend
    Like everything is new
    I promise you to
    Blow it all away

    In your world
    No one is crying alone
    In your world
    No one is dying alone

    Too broken to belong
    too weak to sing along
    I'll comfort you my friend
    Helping you to
    Blow it all away

    In your world
    No one is crying alone
    In your world
    No one is dying alone

    hauntingly beautiful

    Ok then...I will

The main reason why I like the lyrics of Missy Higgins' songs is because they tell a story, and are full of emotion. "The Sound of White" has lyrics that speak straight from the heart, and conveys her message so brilliantly Right now im watching tv and doing homework, so I cant think about these things all that well right now

it's hard to explain why you like jam and not marmite so to explain why you like a lyrics, it's 10 times harder...
But to be honest with you I think lyrics I love, are those which speak to my heart or reminds me some moments of my life, like a hard time, a good time...

Well I do a lot of lyrics analysis any picked up a lot of reasons why I like the lyrics I do so I kinda assumed that everyone worked the same way really and liked lyrics due to something like their meanings or underlined meanings? Rhyming scheme? Something down those lines.

One of my favourite lyrics is Burnt Ice by Heavy Metal band Megadeth.
Main reason why I like this song so much is because it tells the truth about addictions, first comes curiosity, then if you get hooked and can't get off or don't want to you'll find important things slipping away when it turns out your actually the one throwing them away. I think the lead Dave Mustaine wrote it out of experience, there's no chorus to this song by the way, just three short verses one of which; the last I haven't bothered including because it's not relevant.
Just to mention the guitar solo between the second and third verse is brilliant but obviously not included in the lyrics.

"He said he'd try just a little bit,
He didn't want to end up like them,
And now he blames the voices of a toothless wonder,
Pounding on the door to make the next score.
Anything for a hit, any sin to pay for it,
For that next bowl, he'd sell his soul.
Spiral to destruction, it's too late to break the spell,
He wants the ride to stop on the freight train straight to hell,
Without the truth he'll never find in a dungeon of his lies,
His cause of death... high speed on burnt ice."

"Always looking at the ground, a broken, beaten man,
Memories of his family are calling after him,
He can hardly think, hardly walk,
Phone keeps ringing, he can't talk,
With just one hit the pain would go away,
But he's dead if he does."

PS: Sorry for double posting, I forgot I had just posed.

    ther once was a hurricane
    that roamed over the land
    destroying everything in its way
    there was nothing left, ohhh

    this hurricane was so mighty
    this hurricane was deemed unstopable
this hurricane destroyed all that we loved

    this is, this is it
this is, this is the end
this is the end of us
    this is it

    the hurricane wanted nothing more
than to ruin our dreams and family
will anyone save from what is to come
will anyone step up for us
